Removal & Installation (Passenger-side)

  1. Before proceeding, see AIR BAG SAFETY PRECAUTIONS . Disable air bag system. See ZONE 5  under DISABLING & ACTIVATING AIR BAG SYSTEM.
  2. Remove instrument panel trim pad. See INSTRUMENT PANEL TRIM PAD . Remove Connector Position Assurance (CPA) clip from passenger-side air bag module Yellow 2-connector. See Fig 1. Disconnect passenger-side air bag module Yellow 2-pin connector. Remove nuts securing air bag module to instrument panel bracket. Remove passenger-side air bag module. See Fig 2.
  3. To install, reverse removal procedure. Tighten passenger-side air bag module nuts and trim pad bolts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS . Activate air bag system. See ZONE 5  under DISABLING & ACTIVATING AIR BAG SYSTEM.
