Removal & Installation

- Release fuel pressure. See FUEL SYSTEM PRESSURE RELEASE under FUEL SYSTEMS. Disconnect the negative battery cable. Remove the engine cover.
- Disconnect the Fuel Rail Temperature (FRT) sensor electrical connectors (3). See Figure. Remove the FRT sensor (11) and discard the "O" ring. See Figure.
- Install the fuel rail temperature (FRT) sensor (2) using a NEW "O" ring. Tighten the FRT sensor to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
- To complete installation, reverse removal procedure. Start the vehicle and inspect for CNG fuel leaks at the serviced fittings with the J 45878 or an equivalent leak detector.
NOTE:
Before installation, lubricate the "O" ring with petroleum jelly or equivalent.
