Removal & Installation

- Release fuel pressure. See FUEL SYSTEM PRESSURE RELEASE under FUEL SYSTEMS. Disconnect the negative battery cable(s). Remove the CNG fuel tank cover. See FUEL TANK COVER under FUEL SYSTEMS. Disconnect the Fuel Tank Pressure (FTP) sensor electrical connector. See Figure . Remove the FTP sensor from the High Pressure Lock-Off (HPL) solenoid. Discard the "O" ring.
- Lubricate the NEW "O" ring face seal with petroleum jelly before installation. Install the FTP sensor in the HPL solenoid using a NEW "O" ring. Tighten the FTP sensor. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS . Connect the FTP sensor electrical connector. Connect the negative battery cable(s). Tighten cable bolt(s) to specification. Start the vehicle and use Combustible Gas Detector in order to inspect for CNG fuel leaks at each serviced fitting. Install the CNG fuel tank cover. See FUEL TANK COVER under FUEL SYSTEMS.
