Removal (Intermediate Pressure Regulator-to-Fuel Rail - Bank 1)

NOTE: Combustible Gas Detector (J-45878) is required for this procedure. See Figure .
  1. Release fuel pressure. See FUEL SYSTEM PRESSURE RELEASE  . Disconnect the negative battery cable(s). Remove the Intermediate Pressure Regulator (IPR) fuel outlet line hold-down nut.
  2. Remove the fuel outlet line hold-down. Disconnect the IPR fuel outlet lines from the IPR. See Figure . Loosen the IPR fuel outlet line screw clamp at the fuel rail. Remove the IPR fuel outlet line hold-downs at the fuel rail. Remove the IPR fuel outlet line from the vehicle.
