Removal (High Pressure Regulator-To-Union)

NOTE: Combustible Gas Detector (J-45878) is required for this procedure. See Figure .
  1. Release fuel pressure. See FUEL SYSTEM PRESSURE RELEASE  . Disconnect the negative battery cable(s). Remove the fuel tank cover. See FUEL TANK COVER  .
  2. Disconnect the High Pressure Regulator (HPR) fuel outlet line from HPR. See Fig 1 . Raise and support the vehicle. Disconnect the HPR fuel outlet line from underbody line. See Fig 2 . Remove the line from the vehicle.
