Removal & Installation

Disconnect the negative battery cable. Relieve the fuel pressure. See FUEL SYSTEM PRESSURE RELEASE . Raise and support vehicle. Remove the fuel tank. See FUEL TANK . Remove the fuel pressure sensor. See Fig 1 or Fig 2 . To install, reverse removal procedure. For vehicles equipped with 4.3L, turn the ignition on for 2 seconds. Turn ignition off for 10 seconds. Turn ignition on. Inspect for fuel leaks.
