Installation Procedure

    NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE in Cautions and Notices.
  1. Apply sealant GM P/N 12346004, (Canadian P/N 10953480), or equivalent, to the threads of the oil pressure sensor.
  2. Using J 41712  or equivalent, install the oil pressure sensor.

    Tighten:  Tighten the oil pressure sensor to 20 N.m (15 lb ft).

  4. Connect the oil pressure sensor electrical connector (1).
  5. If necessary, install the engine sight shield. Refer to Engine Sight Shield Replacement (4.8L, 5.3L, and 6.0L (LQ4))  or Engine Sight Shield Replacement (6.0L (LQ9)) .
