Crankshaft Balancer: Removal

  1. Remove the fan shroud from the radiator. Remove the drive belt from the pulleys. See DRIVE BELT . Remove the fan clutch from the water pump (if needed).
  2. Raise the vehicle. Remove the drive belt pulley from the crankshaft balancer. Remove the crankshaft balancer bolt and washer.
  3. Using the Crankshaft Balancer Remover and Installer remove the crankshaft balancer from the crankshaft. Remove the crankshaft key from the crankshaft, if necessary. Remove the tool from the crankshaft balancer.
