Timing Chain & Sprockets: Installation

- Using Crankshaft Sprocket Installer (J-22102), install crankshaft sprocket. Align keyway of the crankshaft sprocket with crankshaft pin.
- Remove crankshaft sprocket installer.
- Rotate crankshaft until crankshaft sprocket alignment mark is in 12 o'clock position.
- Install camshaft sprocket and timing chain.
- Ensure that crankshaft sprocket is aligned at 12 o'clock position and camshaft sprocket is aligned at 6 o'clock position.
- Install camshaft sprocket bolts. Tighten camshaft sprocket bolts a first pass to specification. Tighten camshaft sprocket bolts a final pass to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
- Install engine front cover. See ENGINE FRONT COVER .
