Exhaust Manifolds: Installation

However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Install a NEW exhaust manifold gasket and manifold.
  2. Install exhaust manifold bolt and nuts. Tighten the bolt to specification. Tighten the nuts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
  3. Raise vehicle.
  4. Install exhaust manifold heat shield. Tighten bolts and nuts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
  5. Lower vehicle.
  6. If installing right exhaust manifold, position the EGR.
  7. Install a NEW EGR pipe gasket.
  8. Install EGR pipe bracket bolt. Tighten the bolt to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
  9. Install EGR pipe nuts to the exhaust manifold. Tighten nuts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
  10. If installing left or right side exhaust manifold, install spark plugs.
  11. Install spark plug wires to spark plugs and ignition coils.
  12. Install oil level indicator tube, if removed (right side exhaust manifold).
  13. Install wheelhouse panel.
