Exhaust Manifold Pipe: Removal

- Raise and support vehicle.
- Remove oil pan skid plate bolts and plate, if necessary.
- Support transmission with a transmission jack.
- Remove transmission mount-to-transmission support nuts.
- Raise transmission off of the transmission support.
- Remove transmission support crossmember bolts.
- Remove transmission support crossmember.
- Remove muffler. See MUFFLER REPLACEMENT .
- Remove clip around engine harness and oxygen sensor pigtail.
- Disconnect the Connector Position Assurance (CPA) retainer.
- Disconnect oxygen sensor electrical connector.
- Remove oxygen sensor.
- Remove exhaust manifold pipe.
- Slide exhaust manifold pipe hanger out of the exhaust pipe hanger bracket.
- Discard exhaust manifold pipe seal.
