Removal & Installation: Camshaft: Installation

- Apply Lubricant (12345501) to camshaft lobes, camshaft bearing journals and camshaft bearings.
- Install three 8-1.25 x 100 mm bolts into camshaft threaded bolt holes. Using bolts as a handle, carefully install camshaft. See Fig 1.
- Remove bolts from front of camshaft.
- Install camshaft retainer and bolts. Tighten camshaft retainer bolts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
- Install timing chain and sprocket. See TIMING CHAIN & SPROCKETS .
- Install valve lifters. See VALVE LIFTER REPLACEMENT .
- Install A/C condenser.
- Install grille.
