EVAP Vent Solenoid Valve

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2003 Pontiac Grand Prix, 2003 Chevrolet Malibu, and 2003 Buick Century. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

The EVAP vent valve, located under the vehicle, controls fresh airflow into the EVAP canister. See Figure or Figure . The valve is normally open. The PCM and the solenoid closed during some EVAP tests, allowing the system to be tested for leaks.
