Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor: Installation

If installing the old sensor, coat the threads with GM Sealant (US 12346004; Canada 10953480), or equivalent. Install the ECT sensor and tighten to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS . Connect the ECT sensor electrical connector. Fill the cooling system. See COOLING SYSTEM BLEEDING under COOLING SYSTEMS.
