Removal (4.8L, 5.3L & 6.0L)

  1. Raise and support the vehicle. On HO2S1/1, If necessary, unbolt the front propeller shaft from the front differential. On HO2S1/2, if equipped, disconnect the fuel composition sensor electrical connector.
  2. On all models, disconnect the Connector Position Assurance (CPA) retainer. On HO2S1/1 and HO2S1/2, remove the electrical connector from the fuel line clip. On HO2S2/1 and HO2S2/2, remove the electrical connector from the frame.
  3. On all HO2S disconnect the Connector Position Assurance (CPA) retainer. Disconnect the HO2S electrical connector from the harness. Carefully remove HO2S from exhaust pipe using Oxygen Sensor Tool (J-39194-B).
