Removal (4.3L)

  1. Disconnect the Mass Air Flow/Intake Air Temperature (MAF/IAT) sensor electrical connector. MAF/IAT sensor is located in right side of engine compartment, connected to the air cleaner assembly. See Figure.
  2. Loosen hose clamps on both sides of MAF/IAT sensor. Dislodge air cleaner resonator outlet duct from outlet side of MAF sensor. Pull MAF/IAT sensor from air cleaner assembly. See Figure.
