Removal & Installation (4.3L)

- Turn ignition off. Disconnect sensor harness connector. MAP sensor is located on top center of engine.
- Remove MAP sensor from intake manifold by pulling straight up with a slight rocking motion. See Fig 1. Remove and discard MAP sensor grommet.
Install a NEW MAP sensor grommet onto the MAP sensor. Carefully install MAP sensor into intake manifold. Reconnect harness connector to MAP sensor.
