Removal (8.1L)

  1. Remove the engine sight shield. See ENGINE SIGHT SHIELD  under MISCELLANEOUS. Disconnect the EVAP canister solenoid electrical connector. See Figure.
  2. Disconnect the EVAP purge tube from the purge solenoid. In order to disconnect the EVAP purge tube connector, slide the retaining tab to the release position and separate the connection. See Figure.
  3. Remove the EVAP canister purge valve bolt. Remove the EVAP canister purge valve.
