EVAP Canister Purge Solenoid: Installation

  1. Install the purge solenoid to the intake manifold. Install the engine wiring harness bracket to the stud. Install the purge solenoid nuts and tighten the nuts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
  2. Connect the purge solenoid electrical connector. Connect the EVAP purge pipe. Install the air cleaner resonator outlet duct. See AIR CLEANER RESONATOR OUTLET DUCT  under AIR INDUCTION SYSTEMS.

  1. Install the insulator onto the EVAP canister purge solenoid. Install the EVAP canister purge solenoid. Install the EVAP canister purge solenoid bolt and tighten to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
  2. Connect the EVAP purge solenoid electrical connector. Install the EVAP tube to the purge solenoid. Install the engine sight shield. See ENGINE SIGHT SHIELD  under MISCELLANEOUS.

  1. Install the EVAP canister purge valve. Install the EVAP canister purge valve bolt and tighten to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
  2. Connect the EVAP purge tube to the purge solenoid. Connect the EVAP canister purge valve electrical connector. Install the engine sight shield. See ENGINE SIGHT SHIELD  under MISCELLANEOUS.
