Removal (4.3L)

- Remove the air cleaner resonator outlet duct. See AIR CLEANER RESONATOR OUTLET DUCT .
- Remove air cleaner outlet duct adapter stud. See Fig 1. Disconnect accelerator control cable from throttle body. Disconnect cruise control cable from throttle body (if equipped).
- Remove 2 accelerator control cable routing bracket-to-throttle body retaining nuts. See Figure. Remove accelerator control cable routing bracket with cables attached and position aside.
- Remove accelerator control cable bracket-to-throttle body and intake manifold studs/nuts. Remove accelerator control cable bracket with cables attached and position aside.
- Disconnect harness connectors from Throttle Position (TP) sensor and Idle Air Control (IAC) valve. See Fig 2. Remove throttle body-to-intake manifold studs. Remove throttle body. See Fig 3. Remove throttle body flange gasket and discard.
