Shock Absorber (25 Series Utility): Removal

  1. Raise and support the vehicle.
  2. Support the rear axle.
  3. On left side only, disconnect the Real Time Damping (RTD) electrical connector at the pigtail connector (if equipped). See Fig 1 .
  4. Disconnect the RTD electrical connector at the top of the right side shock (if equipped).
  5. Disconnect the Real Time Damping (RTD) sensor harness connector from the vehicle harness connector (if equipped).
  6. Remove the upper shock absorber nut and the bolt. See Figure .
  7. Remove the lower shock absorber nut and the bolt.
  8. Remove the shock absorber. To dispose of shock absorber, see SHOCK ABSORBER DISPOSAL  .
