Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the oil pan. Refer to Oil Pan Replacement .
  2. Remove the oil pump bolt from the rear crankshaft bearing cap.
  3. Remove the oil pump and the driveshaft.
  4. Inspect the driveshaft at both ends for rounding of the corners.
  5. Inspect the oil pump. Refer to OIL PUMP CLEANING AND INSPECTION .
