Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2002 GMC Safari, 2002 Chevrolet Astro, 2001 GMC Safari, and 2001 Chevrolet Astro. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Install the pad to the seat back frame. See Figure.
    NOTE: For the best finished appearance, proceed as follows when attaching the seat back cover to the pad:
  2. Install the seat back cover to the seat back.
    1. Center the seat back cover on the pad.
    2. Starting at the top and working down the sides, apply pressure along the break line in order to help attach the seat back cover to the J-hook to the frame and attach the hook and loop.
  3. Install the seat back to the frame and attach.
  4. Install the armrests. Refer to Armrest Replacement - Rear Seat (YC5 and YC6)  or Armrest Replacement - Rear Seat (YC7)  .
  5. Install the headrests. Refer to Head Restraint Replacement (YC6)  or Head Restraint Replacement (YC7)  .
  6. Install the rear bench seat to the vehicle. Refer to Seat Replacement - Rear Bench (2001)  or Seat Replacement - Rear Bench (2002)  .
