Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2002 GMC Safari, 2002 Chevrolet Astro, 2001 GMC Safari, and 2001 Chevrolet Astro. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Install the seat back cover to the pad.
    NOTE: Note install the hog rings in the locations noted during disassembly.
  2. Install the hog rings in order to retain the seat back cover to the pad.
  3. Install the seat back cover and pad to the seat back frame.
  4. Zip the seat back cover closed. See Figure.
  5. Press the headrest bushings into place. See Figure.
  6. Install the right and left seat back hinge. Refer to Seat Back Hinge Trim Replacement - Rear Left  and Seat Back Hinge Trim Replacement - Rear Right (YC6)  .
  7. Install the rear seat armrests, if equipped. Refer to Armrest Replacement - Rear Seat (YC5 and YC6)  or Armrest Replacement - Rear Seat (YC7)  .
  8. Install the headrests. Refer to Head Restraint Replacement (YC6)  or Head Restraint Replacement (YC7)  .
  9. Install the rear bench seat to the vehicle. Refer to Seat Replacement - Rear Bench (2001)  or Seat Replacement - Rear Bench (2002)  .
