Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2002 GMC Safari, 2002 Chevrolet Astro, 2001 GMC Safari, and 2001 Chevrolet Astro. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
NOTE: For the best finished appearance when attaching the seat back cover to the pad, proceed as follows:
  1. Install the seat back pad to the seat back frame. See Figure.
  2. Center the seat back cover on the pad.
  3. Starting at the top and working down the sides, apply pressure along the break line. This helps attach the seat back cover to the J-hook fasteners.
  4. Reset the hook-and-loop fasteners that retain the seat back cushion to the pad.
  5. Install the armrests. Refer to Armrest Replacement (YC7)  or Armrest Replacement (YC6)  .
  6. Install the headrest. Refer to Head Restraint Replacement (YC6)  or Head Restraint Replacement (YC7)  .
  7. Install the bucket seat in the vehicle. Refer to Seat Replacement - Bucket .
