Shift Cable Bracket: Installation

  1. Install the shift cable bracket to the vehicle.
  2. Install the shift cable bracket bolts (1). See Figure . Tighten the bolts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .
  3. Align and install the cable to the bracket. See Figure .
  4. Install the retainer that secures the cable to the bracket.
  5. Lower the vehicle.
  6. Check the vehicle for proper operation. If cable adjustment is necessary, see SHIFT CABLE  under ADJUSTMENTS.
