Filler Tube & Seal: Installation

  1. Install a NEW seal to the indicator tube.
  2. Install the oil level indicator tube.
  3. Install the indicator tube nut. See Figure . Tighten nut to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .
  4. Remove the plugs from the transmission oil cooler line fittings. See Figure .
  5. Connect the transmission oil cooler lines.
  6. Install the exhaust pipe hanger bracket and bolts. See Figure . Tighten bolts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .
  7. Instal the insulator and nuts to the bracket. Tighten nuts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .
  8. Tighten the right exhaust pipe nuts. See Figure . Tighten nuts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .
  9. Tighten the left exhaust pipe nuts. See Figure . Tighten nuts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .
  10. Install the transmission crossmember. See Figure .
  11. Install the transmission crossmember bolts/nuts. Tighten bolts/nuts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .
  12. Install the transmission mount nut. See Figure . Tighten nut to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .
  13. Remove the support from the transmission.
  14. Lower the vehicle.
  15. Install the transmission oil level indicator.
  16. Fill transmission to proper level with appropriate fluid. See LUBRICATION  .
