Forward Servo (Fwd): Installation

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2003 Pontiac Aztek and 2003 Buick Rendezvous. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Install the servo spring. Install the servo piston assembly. Install the forward servo cover "O" ring. Install the forward servo cover. See Figure .
  2. Install the 3 forward servo cover attaching bolts. Tighten the forward servo cover attaching bolts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .
  3. Remove the drain pan from under the forward servo cover. Use the utility stand in order to raise the frame rear. Install the NEW frame bolts. Install the powertrain mounts to the frame. Install the transaxle mount nuts. Install the engine mount nuts. See appropriate REMOVAL & INSTALLATION article.
  4. Install the power steering gear to the frame. See appropriate POWER RACK & PINION article in STEERING. Install the power steering gear heat shield. Install the stabilizer shaft.
  5. Lower the vehicle. Remove the engine support fixture. Fill transaxle with appropriate fluid to proper level. See LUBRICATION  .
