Removal Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2002 Buick Regal and 2002 Buick Century. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Remove the left instrument panel (I/P) insulator. Refer to Closeout/Insulator Panel Replacement - Left .
  2. Remove the steering column filler. Refer to Steering Column Filler Replacement .
  3. Remove the screws from the bottom of the I/P accessory trim plate.

  4. Pull the I/P accessory trim plate rearward in order to release the retaining clips.
  5. Rotate the I/P accessory trim plate rearward and up in order to release the 2 tabs at the top edge.
  6. Disconnect the ash tray harness electrical connector from the I/P harness.
  7. Remove the I/P accessory trim plate.
