Installation (3.1L)

Disconnect the negative (-) battery cable.
Remove the left engine mount strut and the bracket from the upper radiator support.
Assemble the engine support fixture adapters (J-28467-501) to the universal engine support fixture (J-28467-B) cross bar. See Fig 1 .
Install the universal engine support fixture (J-28467-B) and the engine support fixture adapters to the fender rails. See Fig 1 .
Install the engine support adapter leg set (J-36462-A) to the cross bar engine support fixture adapter. See Fig 2 .
Install the support lift hook to the cross bar. See Fig 3 .
Install the support lift hook to the right engine lift hook. See Fig 3 .
Install the support lift hook to the engine support adapter leg set. See Fig 4 .
Install the support lift hook to the left engine lift hook. See Fig 4 .
Using engine support fixture, raise the engine to release the pressure off of the engine mounts. See Fig 5 .
