Vacuum Brake Booster Check Valve And/Or Hose: Installation

  1. Connect the vacuum brake booster hose at the engine (4.8L, 5.3L or 6.0L). See Figure.
  2. Connect the vacuum brake booster hose at the engine (4.3L). See Figure.
  3. Install the manifold sight shield (4.8L, 5.3L or 6.0L). See INTAKE MANIFOLD under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION in the appropriate 4.8L, 5.3L & 6.0L V8 article in ENGINE.
  4. Install the vacuum brake booster check valve to the hose.
  5. Install the vacuum brake booster hose clamp to the check valve.
  6. Install the vacuum brake booster check valve to the vacuum brake booster.
