Removal (Right Rear - Without 4-Wheel Steering)

  1. Release the park brake.
  2. Raise and support the vehicle.
  3. Relieve the tension on the cable by loosening the nut at the equalizer. See Figure.
  4. Disconnect the cable from the equalizer.
  5. Remove the bolt from the rear axle clip. See Fig 1.
  6. Remove the cable from the differential clip.
  7. Remove the cable from the mounting bracket by depressing the locking tabs. See Figure.
  8. Remove the cable from the left and right side cable guides (1500 series utilities). See Fig 2.
  9. Remove the cable from the track bar clips.
  10. On all models except 1500 series utilities, remove the cable from the lever. See Figure.
  11. Remove the cable from the backing plate by depressing the locking tabs.
  12. Remove the cable from the retaining bracket.
  13. Remove the cable.
  14. On 1500 series utilities, remove the cable from the lever. See Figure.
  15. Remove the cable from the backing plate by depressing the locking tabs.
  16. Remove the cable from the retaining bracket.
  17. Remove the cable.
