Installation (Left Rear - Without 4-Wheel Steering)

Install the cable taking care to correctly route the cable through the guides and the body mounts. See Figure.
On 1500 series utilities, install the cable to the backing plate by pressing the cable into place until locking tabs snap into place.
Install the cable to the lever.

On all models except 1500 series utilities, install the cable to the backing plate by pressing the cable into place until locking tabs snap into place.
Install the cable to the lever.
Install the cable at the shock absorber bracket and install the bolt. See Figure. Tighten the bolt to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
Install the cable to the mounting bracket until the locking tabs snap into place. See Figure.
On all vehicles, connect cable end to the equalizer.
Tighten the nut to the intermediate cable at the equalizer. See Figure. Tighten the nut to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
Remove the safety stands.
Lower the vehicle.
Adjust the park brake cable. See PARK BRAKE ADJUSTMENT under ADJUSTMENTS & INSPECTION.
