Removal (3.4L)

- Turn ignition switch to OFF position. Disconnect the accelerator and cruise control cables from the throttle body lever. See Figure .
- Depress the tangs and remove the accelerator and cruise control cables from the accelerator cable bracket.
- If applicable disconnect the cruise control cable from the throttle lever and accelerator bracket. See Figure .
- Remove the nuts and bolts holding the accelerator cable bracket to the throttle body.
- Remove the accelerator cable bracket. See Figure .
- Disconnect the Evaporative Emission (EVAP) canister purge valve harness connector.
- Disconnect the EVAP canister purge valve pipe and the vacuum supply hose. See Figure .
- Remove the EVAP canister purge valve retaining bolt. Remove the EVAP canister purge valve. See Figure .
- Disconnect the Idle Air Control (IAC) valve harness connector. See Fig 1
- Remove the IAC attaching screws and IAC valve. See Fig 2 .
- Remove the IAC valve "O" ring.
