Low Pressure Lock-Off Solenoid: Removal

  1. Low Pressure Lock-Off (LPL) solenoid is mounted in the Intermediate pressure line. See Figure. Release CNG fuel system pressure. See FUEL SYSTEM PRESSURE RELEASE (CNG)  under FUEL SYSTEMS (CNG).
  2. Remove the battery, air cleaner outlet duct and the air cleaner assembly.
  3. Disconnect the fuel line from the LPL fuel inlet elbow. See Figure.
  4. Remove the fuel rail feed hose hold-down nut and retainer. See Fig 1.
  5. Remove the fuel feed hose from the LPR using a twisting motion.
  6. Disconnect the LPL harness connector.
  7. Remove the LPR/LPL mounting bracket nuts. See Fig 1.
  8. Remove the LPR/LPL assembly from the vehicle.
  9. Remove the LPR and LPL mounting bolts.
  10. Remove the LPR/LPL assembly from the mounting bracket.
  11. While holding the union with a wrench, rotate the LPL to separate the components. See Fig 2.
