Removal & Installation

- Remove the auxiliary evaporator core. See EVAPORATOR CORE (AUXILIARY) . Gently remove the sealer packed around the Thermal Expansion Valve (TXV). Note the mounting location and the orientation of the capillary tube on the evaporator core.
- Remove the clip that retains the capillary tube to the evaporator core. See Fig 1. Remove the nuts that retain the TXV to the evaporator core. Remove the TXV from the core.
- Install the TXV to the core Install the nuts that retain the TXV to the evaporator core. Tighten the nuts that retain the TXV to the evaporator core to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
- Install the capillary tube and the retaining clip to the evaporator core. Pack the sealer around the TXV as found during disassembly. Install the evaporator core. See EVAPORATOR CORE (AUXILIARY) .
