Removal & Installation: Condenser: Removal

  1. Remove the air cleaner. See Figure. Recover the refrigerant from the system. See RECOVERY, EVACUATION & RECHARGING in GENERAL SERVICING PROCEDURES article in GENERAL SERVICING. Remove the grille. Loosen the compressor hose assembly nut at the condenser.
  2. Remove the compressor hose assembly from the condenser. Loosen the evaporator tube nut at the condenser. Remove the evaporator tube from the condenser. Remove the center support bracket. Remove the bolts that retain the condenser to the radiator. See Figure. Remove the condenser from the radiator. Remove and discard the O-ring seals.
