Compressor Hose Assembly: Installation

  1. Uncap or unplug all open connections. Install the compressor hose assembly to the vehicle. Install transmission filler tube to the throttle cable bracket. Install the bolt to the transmission filler tube to the oil indicator tube. Tighten to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
  2. Install NEW O-rings. Connect rear A/C fittings (if equipped). Install the compressor hose assembly to the condenser. Tighten the compressor hose assembly nut. Tighten to specification. Install the hose clamp bracket nut to the engine stud.
  3. Install NEW sealing washers. Install the compressor hose assembly to the compressor. Tighten the compressor hose assembly bolt to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
  4. Install the engine cover. Install the grille. Evacuate and recharge the system. See RECOVERY, EVACUATION & RECHARGING in GENERAL SERVICING PROCEDURES article in GENERAL SERVICING. Leak test the fittings of the component. See LEAK TESTING in GENERAL SERVICING PROCEDURES article in GENERAL SERVICING. Install the air cleaner.
