Coasting Downshifts

  1. Place the gearshift lever in the Drive position.
  2. Accelerate the vehicle to 5th gear with the TCC applied.
  3. Release the throttle and lightly apply the brakes.
  4. Verify the TCC releases, and downshifts occur in normal sequence and the transmission returns to 1st gear before the vehicle comes to a stop.
