Test Description

The numbers listed below refer to step numbers in the diagnostic procedure:

  1. 2  - This step tests ignition voltage.
  2. 3  - This step tests the command signal from the TCM, and tests the external wiring harness for opens or shorts.
  3. 4  - This step tests the resistance value of the external harness and solenoid.
  4. 5  - This step tests the command signal from the TCM.
  5. 6  - This step tests the resistance value of the solenoid, and tests the internal wiring harness for opens or shorts.
  6. 8  - This step tests the resistance value of the solenoid.
