HVAC Control Assembly: Removal

  1. Disconnect negative battery cable. Set parking brake and place gearshift lever in 1st gear position. Grasp edges of instrument panel bezel and pull firmly outward to remove. See Figure. Disconnect electrical connectors and remove bezel.
  2. Remove HVAC control panel retaining screw. See Figure. Pivot HVAC control assembly away from instrument panel to access rear of panel. Disconnect harness connectors and vacuum harness. See Figure. Disconnect vacuum connectors. Remove HVAC control assembly.
