Coolant Bypass Valve: Installation

- Install the coolant bypass valve. Install the outlet heater hose to the coolant bypass valve. Using the Hose Clamp Pliers, reposition the inlet heater hose clamp to the coolant bypass valve. See Fig 1 or Fig 2 .
- Install the heater outlet hose to the coolant bypass valve. Using the Hose Clamp Pliers, reposition the heater hose clamp to the coolant bypass valve.
- Install the coolant bypass valve to the heater assembly. Install the bolt that retains the coolant bypass valve to the heater assembly. Tighten the bolt to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
- Connect the vacuum hose to the coolant bypass valve. Connect the electrical connector to the coolant bypass valve. Fill the cooling system. Install the upper fan shroud. See Figure. Install the air cleaner. See Figure.
