Circuit/System Description

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2009 Saturn Vue. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

The clutch pressure control (PC) solenoid 5 is part of the control solenoid (w/body and TCM) valve assembly and is not serviced separately. The transmission control module (TCM) supplies 12 volts to the PC solenoid 5 through the high side driver 1 circuit. The TCM controls the PC solenoid 5 through the PC solenoid 5 control circuit. The normally low PC solenoid 5 flows fluid to the dampener clutch when commanded ON and exhausts fluid when commanded OFF. The clutch PC solenoid 5 regulates to the dampener clutch during auto start/stop transitions.
