Removal ("G" Series)

- Disconnect negative battery cable. Remove air bag module. See appropriate AIR BAG RESTRAINT SYSTEMS article. Remove left knee bolster. On models with column shift, disconnect transmission control cable.
- On all models, disconnect steering column from intermediate shaft. Disconnect steering column harness connectors. Remove column bracket from instrument panel carrier. Remove steering column.
