Conditions for Running the DTC

P0111 Idle Test

• Before the ECM can report DTC P0111 failed, DTC P0112, P0113, P0116, P0117, P0118, and P0119 must run and pass.
• The engine coolant temperature (ECT) at engine start is less than 110°C (230°F).
• The MAF is less than 8 g/s and steady.
• The vehicle speed is less than 5 km/h (3 mph).
• The ECT is greater than 70°C (158°F).
• The cumulative airflow into the engine has exceeded 1,000 grams when the cold start up ECT is greater than -1°C (30°F).
• The cumulative airflow into the engine has exceeded a range of 10,010 to 20,020 grams when the cold start ECT is less than 0°C (32°F).
• DTC P0111 runs continuously once the above conditions are met for greater than 10 seconds.

P0111 Cruise Test

• Before the ECM can report DTC P0111 failed, DTC P0112, P0113, P0116, P0117, P0118, and P0119 must run and pass.
• The ECT at engine start is less than 110°C (230°F).
• The vehicle speed is greater than 40 km/h (25 mph).
• The MAF is between 9-56 g/s.
• DTC P0111 runs continuously once the above conditions are met for greater than 10 seconds.

P0112 and P0113

• The ignition is ON or the engine is operating.
• The DTCs runs continuously once the above conditions are met.
