- Inspect for damaged or worn VL1-2R clutch plates.
- Inspect for damaged VL1-2R clutch piston, apply ring, and spring.
- Inspect for cut, worn, or damaged VL1-2R clutch piston dam O-ring seal, inner seal, and outer seal.
- Inspect for improper VL1-2R clutch backing plate retaining ring.
- Inspect for damaged VL1-2R clutch backing plate
- Inspect for worn splines on the backing plate.
