Circuit/System Description

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2009 Saturn Vue. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

The driver and front passenger heated seats are controlled by separate heated seat switches. The switches are located on the center console. When a heated seat switch is pressed, ground is momentarily applied through the switch contacts and the switch signal circuit to the heated seat module. In response to this signal, the heated seat module applies battery voltage through the element supply voltage circuits to the seat cushion and seat back heating elements. The module then supplies a ground through the indicator control circuits to the heated seat switch illuminating the appropriate temperature indicators.
