Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the battery tray support bracket if equipped with 2.4L (LAT). Refer to Battery Tray Support Bracket Replacement .
  2. Remove the battery box if equipped with 2.4L (LE5). Refer to Battery Box Replacement .
  3. Install the engine support fixture. Refer to Engine Support Fixture .
  4. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .

  5. Remove the front transmission mount thru bolt.

  6. Remove the rear transmission mount thru bolt (1).
  7. Lower the vehicle.

  8. Remove the transmission mount to transmission mount spacer bolts (1).
  9. Using the engine support, lower the transmission in order to remove the transmission mount spacer bolts.

  10. Remove the transmission mount spacer bolts and spacer.

  11. Remove the transmission mount to frame rail bolts.
  12. Remove the left transmission mount.
