Installation Procedure

  1. Install the heater outlet hose - pump to engine to the vehicle.

  2. Using J 38185:  Hose Clamp Pliers disengage the tension on the hose clamp (1) and install the heater outlet hose (2) to the heater coolant pump.

  3. Using J 38185:  Hose Clamp Pliers disengage the tension on the hose clamp (1) and install the heater outlet hose (2) to the thermostat housing.
  4. Install the drive motor generator control module assembly. Refer to Drive Motor Generator Control Module Assembly Replacement
  5. Fill the coolant. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling (Static Fill With HP5) or Cooling System Draining and Filling (Static Fill Without HP5) or Cooling System Draining and Filling (GE 47716 Fill With HP5) or Cooling System Draining and Filling (GE 47716 Fill Without HP5)
