Evaporator Outlet Hose Replacement (HP5)

Callout Component Name

Preliminary Procedures

  1. Recover the refrigerant. Refer to Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging (With HP5)  or Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging (Without HP5) .
  2. Remove the fuel injector sight shield. Refer to Fuel Injector Sight Shield Replacement (LY7) or Fuel Injector Sight Shield Replacement (LCS)
1 Evaporator Outlet Hose Bracket Fastener.
CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution .

Tighten:  4 N.m (35 lb in)

2 Evaporator Outlet Hose Nut (Qty: 2)

Tighten:  16 N.m (12 lb ft)

3 Evaporator Outlet Hose.

Procedure

  1. Remove the liquid line from the connection block at the thermal expansion valve (TXV).
  2. Ensure to cap all HVAC line/hose connections immediately after removal to avoid contamination. Refer to Handling of Refrigerant Lines and Fittings .
  3. Install new sealing washers. Refer to Air Conditioning System Seal Replacement
